You can help bring championship-quality fields to Kincaid Park!
By now, you have probably heard about the 7 new natural grass fields and the 1 artifiical turf field being constructed at Kincaid Park.
During summer of 2008 the fields were constructed and grass was planted for the grass fields. This grass will grow in this summer and will be playable in 2010. The stadium seating was completed for the artificial turf field, the field was constructed and the turf itself is scheduled for installation in summer 2009.
KINCAID SOCCER FIELDS NEED FINANCIAL SUPPORT FROM THE SOCCER COMMUNITY TO MAKE THIS HAPPEN! THE SOCCER FIELDS COST OVER $4 MILLION!
WHY THESE FIELDS ARE IMPORTANT TO OUR COMMUNITY:
- High quality construction and maintenance will mean fewer player injuries
- Anchorage needs more soccer fields to meet the growing demand of soccer, which is Anchorage’s largest participant sport
- A large complex of fields at Kincaid will allow us to host state, regional and even national tournaments. Anchorage was given the bid to host the Alsaka State Youth Soccer State Cup in 2010
- Kincaid offers adequate parking, restrooms and other amenities not found at neighborhood fields
For more information, please visit the website at www.kincaidproject.org. Please make a contribution at the site, or mail to P.O. Box 140695, Anchorage, AK 99514.
We need to demonstrate support form the soccer community to qualify for additonal funding!
